![]() ![]() I am wondering if the issue here is that my testing has been in turning some junk terrains into dual-forest sections. What I'm not seeing is any actual benefits being gained when I do use terraforming, despite having said doctrines/buildings already constructed. Yes, Amazon get a bunch of different bonuses for various terrain types. My main issue is that I don't actually seem to be seeing any concrete benefits. Xenophage gets the fungal terraform (though its offensive) and Dvar get the Mountain one. It's not limited to them specifically though. Haven't played that much with them, but from what I recall, only the morale bonus is innate, every other benefit requires additional doctrines/whatnot. Originally posted by Santiak:I believe it doesn't outright give you a bonus, not without using it in conjunction with something else.įor example, fighting in forrested areas give you a morale bonus, while there's a doctrine that increases Production income per forrested sector/tile. Likewise, if you were to take some kind of barren sector (I forget what they're called, the ash-grey flat ones) and terraform it, I'm not seeing any kind of change to the economy of the attached city. And it isn't limited to forests, either - the Arcadian terraform seems to have the same issue.Īs an example, have your +food doctrine and +production building, and put an industry exploitation in, say, an Artic-Forest sector. What I'm noticing is that terraforming a sector does not appear to change that sector's terrain influence on exploitations, and it doesn't actually seem to ever change your economic output of a city even when you DO have the right doctrines available. ![]() It doesn't even change the economy screen's summary of potential exploitation levels, as far as I can see.Īm I missing something here, or is it just pointless?Įdit: To clarify, I am aware that the Amazons have various doctrines and buildings that add economic benefits to cities that have forests. I can't actually figure out if it's actually doing anything for me beyond removing my roads, which just makes travel slower. ![]()
